Helena is a biologist who discovered her true calling in the ocean during her PhD. Over nearly two decades, she has dedicated her career to applied research in ocean conservation, working on projects that range from using microbes to clean coastal oil pollution to developing coral reef restoration strategies – always guided by the conviction that science should serve both people and the planet.

Today, she works as an impact strategist, translating scientific discoveries into meaningful action. As a scientific diver, freediver, underwater photographer, and filmmaker, Helena uses her lens to bring ocean stories to life – sparking understanding, emotion, and care.
